Piñata-making
We were getting prepared for the Christmas celebrations when we realized that we needed a piñata. At House of Inventions, we always try to build things ourselves, so we asked our student Jesús Ricardez, also known as Chucho, who worked as a piñata maker in the past, to teach us how to make one. Chucho conducted a wonderful piñata workshop and guided us through the enjoyable process.
Later, we used the piñata in the Christmas celebrations and smashed it without remorse!
First we needed to cover a balloon with glue and paper with several layers, to give the initial shape
The process was super relaxing and we spent hours talking and glueing
We made the glue out of flour and warm water
Then we needed to shape the cones that are the piñata decorations
