with Chef Marla Pera

We delighted our senses with the chocolate workshop that artist and chef Marla Pera shared with us. While we relaxed, talked and kneaded the cacao, we learnt the importance of artisanal processes and how to transform the raw material into an artisanal product. We made trippy cacao beverages and delicious truffles with our own hands.

We started by roasting and peeling the cacao beans

Then we grinded them. The smell that produced was unbelievable, the whole room smelled like chocolate!

Then we grinded other ingredients that would give the truffles more taste: nuts, cardamom, dried berries and more.

Finally we made the truffles by pressing the ingredients together. Unfortunately we didn't take pics becuase we were too busy eating truffles!
